About
Why DavidOrlo.com? I wanted to create a website where I could share solutions to issues I run into in the IT field everyday and to help others with what I have learned in Electrical Engineering, the Arduino, AutoIT or other Languages I might learn, and anything else I might pick up and think others can benefit from. I often run into issues when changing things in WordPress and usually have to just figure out the solution so I like to share things like that as well to make it easier for the next guy. I also have side projects I like to take on, weather it be modifying an existing item or creating something from scratch. I often have to deploy clever tactics to get the job done when I don’t have the right tool maybe because the right tool is a large piece of machinery costing tens of thousands of dollars, or because I want to build or modify something with items available to everyday people at affordable prices. Sometimes I may see something that I think can be built cheaper than the item costs or maybe it can be built better, if you have seen the cat toy I made out of an existing cat toy that is a perfect example of this.
I tried my best to create categories and sub categories without creating too many or not enough. I didn’t want the site to be too difficult to navigate but also wanted to keep it organized and items easy to find. I’m pretty satisfied with the current theme but it could always change if I found something better. I have launched a new sister site ITTechTools.net which hosts software I have developed and any raw code I share will be posted here with a link to the software there.
I plan to continue to upload software as I complete it and eventually I will make professional versions of each piece of software with additional features.
Please don’t forget to post your comments and questions as I do read them and I appreciate any feedback. Thanks
Hi David
I found an article on Experts-Exchange (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Microsoft/Development/MS-SQL-Server/Q_27211034.html) about the Dell PV MD3200. Did you create a step by step manual after having problems to get all the stuff working?
If so I am interested in receiving it, as we will buy an MD3200 soon. It’s my first experience with SAN so it is all new to me.
Kind regards
Bert Kempen
I did not create an article, what I found was only 1 server can see a specific volume at a time but if you shut off one of the servers in the cluster then the other server will see the volume. Only certain OS’s can see the volumes at the same time like VMWare ESXi since its designed for this ability. Microsofts NTFS file system does not have the ability to manage multiple operating systems reading and writing to the same volume at the same time. Those extra volumes I spoke of in the post can still be seen on the servers but they can not be used for reading and writing.
