I love the AutoIT language as it is very easy to learn and extremely powerful. It seems every time I feel I have possibly outgrown the code and maybe I need to learn something else to do what I need to do, I am surprised with an update that allows AutoIT to do whatever it is I need to do.
I started coding in the language back in 2003 before there was any GUI code. You could only do simple message boxes and after I wrote a ton of code which used .ini files for changes needed in the code, I decided I really needed a GUI to go public with my code so it would adapt to everyone. I just about gave up hope when an update / Beta was released featuring some very crude GUI functions. I quickly soaked up all the knowledge available on the new GUI code and released what is know today as Burnersware Rogue Bots. The “bots” were a success and I continued writing the programs until around 2007 which at that time I turned the website over to a friend in California who now handles all of the coding but in C# or C++.
If your interested in seeing some of the work I have done in AutoIT check out FFXIScripting.com. I have other projects related to administration and general computing tasks that I will share as soon as I get a few other projects wrapped up.
